Our plants are better…and here’s how we do it.

It starts with the soil. We use topsoil in our mix because it acts as a buffer to keep the Ph stable.  Ph is important for healthy root development.  Next, we add a polymer to the soil to provide more water holding capacity. By using this, the plants stay dryer and have less disease. (Polymer is the material in baby diapers that holds moisture). The final ingredient in our soil is Rootshield, a beneficial bacterium, which also helps to prevent disease.  All of this together greatly helps to reduce the amount of chemical fungicide needed on the plants. 

Next, we grow the plants in an environment conducive to their performance throughout the rest of the season. By growing the plants at a cooler temperature and with less water, we are ensuring a healthier plant that provides lasting performance for the end consumer. Also, by controlling temperature and moisture, we use fewer chemical growth regulators.

Overall, our goal is to produce one of the largest selections of healthy plants you will find anywhere, with as few chemicals as possible.  By doing this we are providing you with plants that you can sell to your customers that will give them months of enjoyment. The end result will keep your customers returning to you, and you, in turn returning to Beroske’s!
